Letter to Joseph Bragdon Jr., a York lawyer written by Theodore Lyman of Waltham, MA concerning the disposition of land he owns. He would like to give it to Sophia and Ruth Bragdon as a means to provide them with some support. In this letter he mentions deeding the estate to them and for them to bargain it away giving Joseph Bragdon Jr. an absolute deed under the stipulation that Bragdon would then support Sophia and Ruth while they are alive. Sophia and Ruth Bragdon are likely the daughters of Theodosia Bragdon, Joseph Bragdon Jr.'s grandmother and Theodore Lyman's sister. |
