Fragment of a quit-claim deed dated June 24, 1822 from Susanna Preble of York, a single woman, in consideration of a certain quit claim deed given to her by Samuel Preble Jr. of York, releasing and quit-claim unto Samuel Preble Jr. all rights, title, claim, and demand she has ever had of the premises in York, including the home farm that was owned by Samuel Preble, deceased, of York including a small lot named Parsons Lane. Bottom half of the deed is missing. Other land owners include, Daniel Goodwin, James Weare, William Welch. Deed also includes a pew in the meeting house in First Parish Church of York that was owned by deceased Samuel Preble. |
