Scope & Content |
A deed conveying 140 rods of land to Solomon Brooks from Josiah D. Bragdon for the of sum $41.85. The tract was a parcel of land, lying on the south east side of the road directly opposite the house of Thomas Savage and bounded by the road and by lands of Jeremiah Brooks and other lands of Solomon Brooks. The deed includes another tract, located southeast of the above tract consisting of two acres. Josiah Bragdon executed the deed as the guardian of Sally Ann and James O. Preble, minor children of the deceased Samuel Preble. The children retained rights to one fourteenth of the tracts of land described in the deed.
