Black and white photograph mounted to board of a group of people dressed in colonial costume posing on the lawn of Mr. Joshua Newton Perkins Jr. and Mrs. Mary (Sowles) Perkins residence at Sewall's Bridge, York, Maine. Sewall's Bridge and the York River in the background. The group was gathered for a colonial garden party to raise money to establish the Old Gaol museum on August 15, 1899. The Old Gaol Museum opened the following year on July 4, 1900. |
