2024.006.112.1: Black and white portrait photogrpah of George E. Preble taken circa 1920s. Inscription on the back reads, "Uncle Geo Preble Gramp's brother". George is wearing a two-piece suit with stiff white collar and tie. He has a large mustache and side-parted combed hair. 2024.006.112.2. Black and white portrait photogrpah of George E. Preble mounted to black board and taken June 6, 1902. The photographer studio is on the front and is J.C. Lamb from Santa Ana, Cal. Inscription on the back reads, "George E. Preble June 6, 1902". The photograph features Frank Preble wearing a traditional Masonic Knights of the Templar uniform. The uniform includes a high starched white collar, a dark buttoned suit, fastened all the way up. A sash, white gloves, broaches, medal, and sword. Frank is wearing a feathered bicorn hat. 2024.006.112.3: Black and white family group portrait mounted to board with a mat board frame. There is an inscription on the front, lists the family portrait and listed at the bottom reads the names and order of the family members. The top inscription reads "Great Uncle George Preble and whole family including sons in law - daughters in law and grandchildren. The bottom inscription reads "Left to right: Quinn_Blanch_Boyd_George_Josephine_Herman_Miller_Margot_Esther_Dad_Viola_Henry Grundt_Hariet_Sam_Park" "Kids: Jane Miller, Elizabeth Grundt, Detlaf Grundt, Warren Park, Sam Preble, Marjory Miller, Billy Miller, Dorothy Park, Barbie Park, Edward Park". Clothing and greenery suggest this photograph was taken in the 1920s |
