Description |
Snow shoe for a horse. Shod horses would build up snowballs in their hooves in winter, making travel difficult. Snow shoes, like this, would solve the problem. Strips of wood were nailed to the plank’s under surface to prevent the horse from slipping when the pull came. Horseshoe-shaped hole carved out of center of square wooden plank which is made up of 3-4 pieces of wood. Strips of wood nailed to the planks under surface with an iron bar perpendicular to the strips of wood on the underside as well. Leather harness on top side to secure horse's hoof to shoe, including one segment which is padded. |
